Pragmatic difficulties in social communication are at the core of Neurodevelopmental Disorders and pose diagnostic and intervention challenges that research is increasingly addressing, as opposed to the traditional approach limited to formal levels of language. In this symposium, research results are presented from four groups that transversally cover the area of pragmatics in different Neurodevelopmental Disorders and with modern methodologies that include new protocols, digitalisation and telepractice. Firstly, a longitudinal study is presented on the evolution of pragmatic skills in children with ASD and their relationship with social, emotional and academic indicators. Secondly, the PleaseApp digital tool for the assessment and intervention of pragmatic and social communication skills at the receptive level in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, with results of its application to a group with ASD and TDL. Thirdly, the adaptation of "The Pragmatics Profile" for the early assessment of pragmatic skills and its value as a screening tool for Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Finally, within the framework of the SYNDROLING Project of the LOGIN group, two studies are presented: the on-line assessment of narrative pragmatic competence in children with Noonan syndrome, including narrative macrostructure and microstructure and other linguistic and cognitive variables; and the assessment of interactive pragmatics using the PREP-CORP Protocol, based on the analysis of the predictability and priority of conversational turns in adults with Williams syndrome and Fragile X syndrome.
